Chris McQ's Song (name edited for security)
For this assignment, students first learned about the musical form, 12 bar blues. They then used the software, Band-in-a-Box, to create their own 12 bar blues song. After inputting the chord changes into the program, the students chose from a variety of different musical styles, to pick the style they desired for their song. Next, they adjusted the tempo either up or down, until it was the speed that was desired. After naming the song, they saved the Band-in-a-Box file and then exported their song as a MIDI file.
